Central Virginia Green Cities Forum
Thursday, April 2, 2009, 7:30 p.m. | Francis Auditorium, Mary Baldwin College (Campus map, building 14)
Come see representatives of four Central Virginia city governments talking about what their cities have done and are doing to make themselves more green, with a focus on climate protection, energy efficiency, clean energy, and green jobs.
Charlottesville – Cynthia Adams, Climate Protection Coordinator
Harrisonburg – Kai Degner, Mayor; Thanh Dang, Public Works Planner
Roanoke – Ken Cronin, Director of General Services/Sustainability
Staunton – Bruce Elder, City Councilman; Assistant City Manager Jim Halasz
This should be a great opportunity to hear best practices from city governments around our area and get inspiration by what’s already done and what’s in the pipeline.
